This is the perfect alternative photography timer! I needed a timer with numbers big enough to be easy to read in a dimly lit darkroom, and I often wanted a large activation button on the TOP that was easy to access with wet gloves. The volume is also completely sufficient. To top it off, when the alarm goes off, the timer actually starts counting down to tell me how much time has passed since the alarm went off (in case I was in the other room or got distracted). All other timers I've used had to press a tiny button on the face of the device, and I kept wiping my gloved fingers to prevent contamination of the device with the (mild) chemical solutions used in platinum printing . Now I can tap it with my palm, wrist, or even my elbow when my hands are full. It even comes with a non-slip base. I bought two and will be ordering more in the near future. Great work Taylor! Cons: I was expecting a device of this size to run on the more common AA batteries instead of AAA, but that doesn't matter.
