Before purchasing this light, I had standard 60w equivalent LED bulbs that were 3000k (often call "warm white"). The old LED bulbs just didn't provide enough light to work with and I had to frequently pull out a headlamp or other supplemental light when wrenching on my bike or working on other projects in the garage.It may be a little difficult to see in the first picture (because modern cameras are so good at compensating for poor light), but the left side of the picture is with this light installed and the right side with an old bulb. Three major differences in person:1. Holy cow, this light is bright.2. The light can be directed to fill in darker areas, so the lighting pattern feels more effective.3. The light temperature (color) is much closer to sunlight.When I walk into the garage and forgot the lights were on, I seriously think we forgot to close the garage door due to the brightness and temperature. To really illustrate the difference in brightness, I put a piece of PVC pipe equal distance to both lights (second picture). You can tell how much difference there is by comparing the intensity of the two shadows. Also, the shadow on the left has a blue tint due to the temperature difference.Overall, I would recommend this light; however, long term reliability is an unknown at this point. The light does have a 2 year "assurance," although I am always wary of warranties provided by newer companies.2022 Update: After almost exactly one year, a panel died. The company sent a replacement and it arrived in a few days. This gives me more confidence in the "assurance" for this product.
