I have to say it was pretty scary using a router bit that big in diameter on my plunge router without a router table. Because of the size of this bit, make sure you have a variable speed router (they also make speed controllers that you can connect a fixed speed router to). As I said, everything went very well and I couldn't be happier. I don't know how the Yonico bits hold up over time but this is my fourth purchase and they all seem to be working fine. I use them as often as my Freud, Whiteside, Bosch and CMT bits and can say they have served me just as well at a fraction of the price. Remember I've used them occasionally for woodworking at home. I'm not a professional carpenter and I work on these things for hours, 5 days a week.
