Review on ⚡ Tripp Lite Heavy-Duty Power Extension Cord 15A, 14AWG 6-ft Black: NEMA 5-15P to NEMA 5-15R, P024-006 by Chris Hamim

I bought this primarily for use with my 1800w Waring fryer which we use in the garage not the kitchen. With outlets so far apart that the tiny cord that comes with the fryer obviously doesn't help. However, since this is a 1800 W (15 A) device, only a very durable extension cord can be used without risk of overheating. This fits the bill perfectly - it's EXACTLY the right length, THICK (heavy duty) and holds up great. There are no loose connections at the overheat outlet, which could very well happen with something like a fryer or heater (which is also great). I have previously used a 15A power strip in combination with a smaller heavy duty power strip, but this setup would result in the power strip tripping on startup for some reason - even though the load is exactly 15A that the power strip is rated for . . . However, this longer (single) cord solved the nuisance tripping issue and also didn't overheat due to the correct gauge (this is THICKER than 14 gauge; the fryer cord is LESS than 16 gauge). Would recommend to anyone who needs a longer cord for a high current drain device or just needs a strong extension cord for extra safety/durability.
