I have hardwood floors in my house and have used a store-bought hardwood floor cleaner for years (I see no reason to spend a fortune on an expensive vacuum when a store-bought cleaner works great). I have, however, gone through several "Shop Vac" brand hardwood floor nozzles. First, they're expensive, the mechanism that pulls the bristles in and out breaks, and the nozzle can't be cleaned because it's metal and rusting inside - so last week after the last one broke I thought I'd give it a try would look for an alternative. First of all this attachment is perfect for shop vacuum tubes, it rolls GREAT and the bristles are strong enough to sweep up fine sand (I'm in Florida) to suck into the vacuum. In general, it is excellent for parquet or tiles. Made of thick plastic, no metal parts, so easy to clean.
