Perfect for my needs.

I've recently started making fermented sodas at home to improve control over what goes into my body (I'm a hopeless soda addict) and to improve my gut health and the health of my family. I started with ginger beer (love it) and have since experimented with other flavors like strawberry/mint (my son's favorite) and pear/pepper (we'll see in a few days). It's a lot of fun and limited only by my imagination and the products available. But they all have one thing in common – that is the pulp of this product. There's no place for "chunky" in my idea of what soda should be, and filtering through paper towels or coffee filters is messy and seems wasteful. So I looked at a few similar products and for the price and what is included this item fits my needs perfectly. It's durable, the spout fits my Grolsch bottles, the metal filter filters out most solids, and when extra filtration is needed the gauze filter takes everything else. I like to use a metal strainer when going from pot to stovetop to glass for 1st fermentation because I prefer to leave most of the pulp in the initial stages so the flavor of carbonated drinks can benefit a bit longer. I then use a gauze filter when bottling so I end up with a really clear second fermentation soda. Has worked well so far. And at a great price!
