Review on LALUZ Accent Cabinets Storage Cabinet by Erica Shine

Too expensive for poor quality

This was supposed to be a cabinet to show the entrance to our home but it quickly became a nightmare. For the high price, there is a severe lack of quality, craftsmanship and details. We knew there would be problems when we opened the instructions. The tool list was correct but 12 screws, wood screws and a few other parts were missing. Was able to replace most of the missing hardware with a quick trip to Home Depot. Once we start using these instructions, the images become a mess. Poorly drawn and needed a magnifying glass to see construction pics. What pissed me off is that the drawn pictures for the building were even inaccurate as the pieces didn't line up exactly as they did in the pictures! We had to restart three times to fix the parts we already had. It was funny, those pictures were garbage. Another problem was that part of the crossbar that connects the two sides together and supports the drawer underneath didn't have pilot hole points, and those missing pilot hole points held the cabinet door receptors to keep the panels closed. I had to construct the whole thing and "by eye" make the holes as close as possible to drill them for the receptors. After a few comments, my wife and I decided to leave the crossbar without her. Finally, the nail in the coffin of this horrific build, we completed the closet with two door panels (coincidentally the one with the missing screws). The left side works fine. We finish the right side, and if we try to close it, no. Will not close. Won't close because the screw guide holes are misaligned and when the panel is closed, the top cannot fully clean the shelf, resulting in paint scraping and chipping. Unbelievable. I had to carefully re-drill the screws to close the right panel and now we don't even try to open it. But please avoid buying this poorly made cabinet. It's not made in the USA and the instructions say so. For the price of this cabinet, it's better to find a cheaper alternative with less of a headache. Buy at your own risk! In addition to the missing hardware and terrible instructions that led to several changes
