Fantastic for the price

Installed on my 05 Suburban. Connected to a Pac RP5-GM11 Steering Wheel Control/OnStar Adapter. The sound is excellent, the functionality is excellent for this price. If you're used to using your phone to navigate it's definitely different and behind in comparison, but if you're used to a sat nav that requires a specific address it's no different (surprisingly, the recalculation didn't take long, but definitely much slower than your phone). Will my phone charge (slowly as it's basically standard USB 1a). In combination with the Pac RP5-GM11 module, you get the added bonus of being able to use the original steering wheel. Strangely, it only supports MP3 on USB or SD card for videos. I haven't tried the DVD player yet. Incidentally, I installed a Kenwood Media unit in my wife's Tahoe 05 and we would have preferred that unit to this one. The instructions are a little lacking, but that's to be expected. The P.control wire in the manual control the rest of us would call amplifier control, A.control should be obvious but just in case it's for older cars with a power antenna. The only downside is that every time you start your car, it returns to its original position. back to the radio, and vice versa it blocks all functions except the rear camera (nice safety feature if you remember you had a loud volume before reversing and a bad song is playing lol). Overall, I highly recommend this head unit.

Pros
  • Plays Bluetooth / DVD / CD / USB / SD / MP3 / WMA, AM/FM, digital media from smartphones
Cons
  • Little things
