Review on West Biking Universal Adjustable Reflective by Rob Rogers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good trunk.

This is a very strong cargo box for the price, with plenty of adjustment options to fit almost any bike. to do as the top rack itself can be moved back and forth and attached to new points along the main shaft (which was a pleasant surprise for me as if it couldn't be moved the rack wouldn't fit my bike). I have only minor complaints about the condition of the parts found (stand and rods, no screws and washers, etc.). They looked slightly scratched, like they had been dragged across a rough surface or struck by something hard, but nothing disturbed the construction. Just minor blemishes, nothing more. The two W-shaped side rails were also too far apart to line up with the required screw holes, but a little internal pressure bent them exactly where I needed them. Another personal/non-essential - The bad issue I have with the trunk is that the seat clip uses a quick release mechanism. Personally, I don't feel like using anything fast on my bike, so I'd be better off if there was another, more "permanent" attachment option. I can probably find the right size bolt to use instead, and the rest of the construction is held in place by bolts to the bike post and frame, so it's not that bad after all. The included bungee cord also seems very flimsy and flimsy and I couldn't figure out how to attach it to the bike. But I don't care as I plan to use a basket bag with this rack. If for some reason I really need bungee cords, I can just find smaller and thicker hooks to hold my body more securely. At only double the price and just over five times the overall carrying capacity, it was definitely worth buying.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Wrinkled Pack
