Too narrow
Sole is flexible. My son has a wide foot although we don't always buy a large size. However, I ordered them a size 8.5, even though the expensive foot gauge I bought says it's currently a size 7.5. I thought so since it's April and I want him to be able to grow up in it for the summer. I asked how they fit and he said they were tight. He showed me the balls of his feet. It wasn't as long as I expected either. i give them back
