VHS-C to VHS adapter works great. However, it is about three times heavier than a normal VHS cassette. One VCR (a Sony DVD + VHS combo player) I tested it with had difficulty removing the VHS-C adapter and this is easily resolved by holding the door/flap on the VCR open eject until the tape adapter pops out of the cassette.
