Worked great! the best for portable audio and video

Works great! Thanks for selling this I wasn't sure if I could buy something like this anywhere when VHS was gone. We had some old family videos and we were able to watch them with that. For those of you unfamiliar with this, you will need a battery to do this!

Destroyed a priceless home video! Cannot be trusted

I am really angry at how awful this cassette adapter is. At first it only played the tape for 18-20 seconds and then it started flashing the image until it turned into a blank blue screen with no sound. The only way to play the tape again is to press "Stop" and "Play" and then after 20 seconds a blue screen appears. It was annoying, but what annoyed me the most was that he destroyed one of the cassettes I was trying to play. The top hinge cover snapped right off the cartridge, leaving the tape…

It worked, but the VCR blocked.

I found two VHS-C tapes in the bottom of the box and wanted to burn them to DVD. I have a VCR so I thought this would help and it worked. However, it seems too difficult. When I pressed the "eject" button on the VCR, the VCR just struggled and eventually turned itself off. I figured I could help her eject the tape by pressing the eject button and then manually reaching for the VCR and lifting the tape. Didn't work 100% of the time but I managed to get the tape out in the end. I can't imagine…

WORKS AS INTENDED, best for portable audio and video

Today I used it for the first time to scan a 20 year old VHSc tape. Accessing the AA battery compartment takes some getting used to. However, it doesn't take long to master the technique of pressing the grooved part with your thumb and then sliding the door up. If you're playing old VHSc tapes, I would recommend that you first use an adapter to loosen up the tape by doing at least one fast forward and rewind. To eject the VHSc from the adapter, slide the eject button from the top, then turn the

WARNING: May damage your home videos by blocking

Not sure if I just received 2 faulty units or not but it turned out all were broken and blocked. Everything worked fine at first, but after changing the tape 2-3 times it starts to jam. The first had a completely broken tape release button. This meant I couldn't remove my home film from the adapter and may have damaged the tape. I had to find a way to release the shutter without damaging my precious memories. I decided to give it a second chance and Revain sent me a replacement the next day and

Works perfect! I know some people have had issues with it.

Works great! I know some people have had trouble opening the battery compartment - I had no trouble opening and replacing the cover. I've also read that some people couldn't open the device (the part you put your camcorder tape in) - I had absolutely no problems with that part either. You just move the little arrow and it will open automatically. All in all we've used it about 20 times now and it works flawlessly every time. The product costs $25 and that is the quality of what is in this price

I am a professional video director. I convert most video formats to digital formats. When my VHS-C adapter broke, I ordered this one. I don't know if this was a lemon (i.e. a fraudulent bad product) or if it's a design flaw affecting the product across the board. FYI - I use high quality 4 head Mitsubishi VHS machines. I put a new AA battery in the adapter, put in a VHS-C cassette and started playing it on my device. Played normally for 2 minutes, then strange noises were heard and the picture…

Strange case with a motor, but it works!

Despite my misgivings (and many dubious reviews of this type of product) I bought this weird motorized device to see if I could use it to transfer around 30 old VHS cassettes - C to my Mac. I used an old rented VHS and had some issues at first with the video not showing and then the quality was poor. With all the variables, it took me a while to figure it all out. It turned out that I had to try a few video capture devices before I found one that worked well (elgato video capture on Amazon) and

Heavier than a regular VHS tape but works great

VHS-C to VHS adapter works great. However, it is about three times heavier than a normal VHS cassette. One VCR (a Sony DVD + VHS combo player) I tested it with had difficulty removing the VHS-C adapter and this is easily resolved by holding the door/flap on the VCR open eject until the tape adapter pops out of the cassette. VCR. There were no instructions for the adapter, which I was able to find out for myself. Obviously you need to insert the AA battery first, make sure the slider is not in…
