Although I am a hippie feminist from California, I will admit that I have a streak of vanity that has not waned in my 56 years. My throat was bad. The crepe, vertical furrows and folds were no longer thin but huge. I've used Neutrogena products with retinol and it seemed to slow the progression, but the sun damage I'd spent years tanning was evident. I've seriously considered plastic surgery to stop wearing turtlenecks and scarves. I don't even wear makeup, nail polish, or dye my hair, but I've been thinking about plastic surgery - nonsense. Also, let me say that I don't believe in magic bullets and I generally don't believe in five star reviews for things like this. If it's that good, why hasn't anyone heard of it, right? But I ordered one of these as a last resort to do something other than go under the knife. Referring to other posts - I use witch hazel before applying every night, no sticking issues. While it's a bit of an unnerving sensation, it wasn't hard to fall asleep with it around your neck. I wash myself with baby shampoo every other day. That being said, I think three weeks is about as long before a replacement is needed. It's not very noticeable on my neck, my wife hasn't even noticed I'm still wearing it (two weeks). After the first few nights I was pretty sure my neck actually looked worse, but maybe that was just because I looked at it longer. But I decided to give it a try for two full weeks. Around 8 or 9 a.m. I started thinking, hm, maybe it got a little better? But I do not know. Probably no. After the 11th night I thought it really could be better but actually not enough to keep using it. But it's the morning after night 13 and I've got a new throat. No, I have the same neck as when I was 45. I'm really amazed. Shocked. The thing works! It's been five hours since I took it off this morning and I'm still amazed at my new neck. Just bought some SilcSkins. My vanity budget will cover her far better than a plastic surgeon.
