This review is for the 10 cup version which I purchased in August 2019. I also have a 3 cup version that I bought in Italy decades ago. It still has the original seal and works perfectly. I wanted a bigger Moka and tried SLT's much cheaper Bialetti. Not happy with the amount of coffee grounds that ended up in the coffee and not liking the screw on top, I reluctantly spent $166.95 on 10 cups of Alessi. The price actually dropped to around $150 after I bought it. and in the next 12 months it reached $250. Now some clown is asking for $335. I do not think so. I don't know what the current price is in Italy but it's never a bargain. You're paying for a "designer" name, but luckily it's also a quality product that works well and will last a lifetime. If there's a downside, it's the metal handle. It can get pretty hot, but as long as you keep the handle away from open flames it's bearable.
