See my review of the Wharfedale Diamond 10.1. These mounts were strong and had many mounting options. The Diamond 10.1 weighed 11.4 pounds and was too wide, so I thought I'd test the dynamics of these bindings. They're not, they're heavy-duty and keep those rear port speakers far enough from the wall to really sound good. I used a couple of clamps as stabilizing legs but didn't really need them as the hex socket friction mount at the joint was enough to hold them up. They work fine. I removed one star because you must tighten the hex screw with your left hand when attaching the speaker to the bracket. It hurts a little for a right-hander, but a minor one. Also, the self-tapping nut should be held in place while you screw it in. Try it and hold the speaker with just two hands. It can be done, but not too easily. Good mount for heavy speakers!
