Just what my Maritn Logan LX16 needs!

So this is the second set of speaker stands/mounts I've tried for surround sound from the front-heavy Martin Logan LX16 speakers. The floor stands I received just didn't hold them up, everything seems fine. The only extra piece I used was a racquetball-like ball that had to be placed behind the speaker so it wasn't pointing down. Make sure you have the pins to attach these brackets to and they have a variety of ways to attach speakers to them.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Robust and reliable!: Speaker brackets

Extremely durable wall mount speaker brackets that can support even heavy bookshelf speakers. I bought a pair to wall mount my MartinLogan LX16 speakers at the front of the home theater room to act as height effect speakers. Each LX16 weighs 12 pounds and requires strong wall mounts to securely support its weight. The all-metal construction and sturdy Vantage Point construction were more than up to the task. It's been 10 months and everything is in place. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Not the best

Better than the Almighty.

Having used both this and Omnimount I can definitely tell you that the Vantage Point is better than the two for two reasons. First, the speaker doesn't sag like the Omnimount does. I have an NHT Superone 2.1 that weighs 9.1 pounds and with the Omnimount sags almost completely no matter how tight it's tightened. So I took it off and ordered the Vantage Point and it keeps the speaker vertical pretty well. By no means level, but much better. The second reason is that Vantage Point allows you to…

Speaker Bracket Vantage Point BSM-B

See my review of the Wharfedale Diamond 10.1. These mounts were strong and had many mounting options. The Diamond 10.1 weighed 11.4 pounds and was too wide, so I thought I'd test the dynamics of these bindings. They're not, they're heavy-duty and keep those rear port speakers far enough from the wall to really sound good. I used a couple of clamps as stabilizing legs but didn't really need them as the hex socket friction mount at the joint was enough to hold them up. They work fine. I removed…

Easily mounts to a wide variety of speakers. Good resilience. My NHT Classic 3 speakers were mounted on a sloping ceiling for the surround and surround speakers and mounted at angles that constantly stressed the mount. With speakers this heavy, it's important to securely attach the wall or ceiling mount to a stand or similar tool with a thick screw (supplied) or you risk the entire assembly falling to the floor. My flimsy 10 pound mounts from the local electronics store just weren't enough…

I think these could be worse?

This is the 5th or 6th pair of speaker mounts I've bought and they definitely have some of the most versatile mounting options I've seen. Unfortunately they aren't the easiest I've ever worked with and the fit/finish is by far the worst I've seen in a speaker mount. in fact some of the worst I've seen regardless of product type. Also, the speakers I installed weighed 14 pounds each and seemed to be the limit of what these mounts could handle. You'll have to pay me money to try them out with a…

Good potential but current design is poor execution

I would really like these mounts if there weren't three things: 1. Distance between the wall and the speaker. It's so small that you can deploy and align even the smallest of satellites without hitting a wall, making the payload useless. I've been trying to install fairly large and heavy bookshelf speakers (Martin Logan Motion 15) and if I just wanted them to point straight out of the wall they would work. But I wanted to angle them down and over the main listening position, and the wall didn't

Very strong and durable speaker bracket

I bought two sets of these speaker brackets. The first set was already installed in November 2009 and the second set just last week in February 2011 to soon install another speaker set. Both bracket sets are designed for four identical speakers: Sony SS-U3030 bookshelf units from the 90s. These speakers weigh about 10 pounds each, which is well within the weight specifications of these mounts. If the pivot bolts were properly tightened, the old fasteners would not sag at all. One of my speakers

Pros
