Review on 🏎️ K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: Unleash High Performance & Boost Horsepower | 2000-2004 Dodge (Dakota, Durango) 57-1516 by Chris Destruction

Installed this CAI in a 2002 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab. It comes with all the necessary parts and the filter is pre-lubricated with oil. Easy install would be 8 out of 10 just because I screwed up and broke 2 screws. After visiting a hardware store, I was able to install the whole thing in about 3 hours. Not bad considering the drive to and from the store. My rear dyno doesn't notice any significant increase in power, but around 2300 rpm the CAI sound really opens up to a pleasant tone. Significantly louder in the cockpit at full load, but still quiet in normal driving and when shifting below 3000 rpm. That's a good thing as I still have the stock exhaust and enjoy the quiet cabin when cruising the freeway. Fuel consumption has neither increased nor decreased. So if you're buying it for the sole purpose of getting more fuel per gallon, you may be disappointed. Even driving like a normal person, I can get an extra 1mpg, which isn't really much at a gas station. I guess it all boils down to this: if you have a full truck and want to hear the CAI sucking in air when your windows aren't running and also have a nice sound during WOT then buy this. Just don't expect claims from the manufacturer. As always, your mileage may vary.
