I bought these to keep my new pup out of certain rooms without installing a baby gate. She's not fully grown yet and they work pretty well, but she's pretty smart and has figured out how to get through them sometimes by pushing them away from the wall. They definitely look a lot better than baby gates and are very easy to move. Once your kids become mobile toddlers, these gates will no longer guard them in space. The same is true for puppies - as they get older they will easily overcome these barriers if not given enough exercise. Otherwise, I like how they look and how easy they are to move and manipulate in the largest areas. I have many large openings that I could easily secure.
