Difficult to install, not safe for small children.

Difficult to install. Save yourself the hassle and don't use the included wall hardware. There is also a risk if you use a folding table/shelf and have small children. A child could easily open the mechanism and cut their finger. I'm very surprised that there isn't any kind of security measure for the random release. I built the pins into my brackets, so releasing the shelf takes two steps: pull the pins, then lift the levers. I would not buy these mounts again.
