I live in Florida and my glasses sweat a lot. I have all kinds of absorbent pads, but I end up folding paper towels to place on top of the pads to soak up excess sweat. It works, but it's not necessarily attractive. I bought these hoping they would work just as well and I have to say I was very happy when they arrived! They are beautiful and well made. I thought I found the solution! Unfortunately they mold very easily and after only a few uses I've tried cleaning them gently with mild soap and even putting them in the freezer once dry. They don't seem durable enough to be machine washed and machine dried. also washing hands vigorously. So I went back to the drawing board, having just ordered thicker round cotton coasters. They are very good and will work for any number of uses. just no extreme water absorption.
