Unpacked it was packed very well as others said. Welding shield and wire brush can be disposed of. The ground wire was longer than the 4 feet listed in the description, it's more like 7-8 feet. The ground clip doesn't seem to have a strong spring, and I'm not a young strong stag. I immediately ordered more tips, gas shields and deactivators. Thought I should do it before the company stopped building the car. These importers really need to have all available parts on hand rather than asking their customers to hunt them down because parts break. I'm still waiting for an answer what kind of ground wire. Overall, it makes a pretty well-made impression. Now for my first few welds on the 1/8" plate. I'm running 115 volts, using an argon mix and .035" wire, the amperage was right on the dial (half way down) when I started, and the high welds are the results. I didn't know what to do with the voltage so I left it. The speed of the wire was a little over half. In the end I increased the amperage so it lay better I think but I'm not happy with how it looks but I just learn everything after many years Welds just look "dry" or dull maybe cheap wire, not enough gas? I thought it would run the switch at full amps Update 1-4-21 --- replaced my gas cylinder with 75/25 Argon/Co2 and the welds look much better, pretty sure they sold me a pure Argon cylinder, I have some voltage and current measurements on too carried out by the MiG The total current was 186-200 amps, the maximum voltage was 25-27 volts with some fluctuations. I will test the wire feed performance which they claim is 16 meters per minute or 629 inches per minute.
