Bought as a gift for a chef friend. He wanted to take something with him when he traveled. I took the opportunity to inspect them before wrapping the gift. They are very durable canisters and conform snugly to the body. They seal well enough to prevent most of the spices from spurting out, but the canisters leak. Finely ground spices are best wrapped in cling film or a sandwich bag.
