Works well on Bamboo Silk/Viscose rug

I bought a Bamboo Silk rug from a quality rug company and invested a lot of money. After the first episode of cat vomit, I did some research and discovered that my beautiful rug is made of faux silk, which doesn't wear well and gets dirty easily. I've spent a lot of money on professional carpet cleaning outside of the office and have been carpet free for 6 weeks, not to mention the cost. With two cats, I knew I needed a do-it-yourself cleaning method. The capture method worked fine for me. I've used it on 4 cat puke spots now with good results. After dabbing as much of the vomit off the carpet as I can, I mist the stain, dust generously with Capture Powder using the included sieve, and then lightly brush in all directions with the horsehair brush. Make sure the product penetrates the carpet fibers. On one particularly ugly dark brown puke stain, I repeated the process twice. The second time I also added some cornstarch (not sure if it was necessary), covered the area with a white cotton towel, placed heavy bottles on the towel to make it heavier, waited 24 hours, removed the weight and the towels and well vacuumed. only with suction, without guide plates. Outstanding result. Viscose cannot be rubbed hard as the fibers will break, so I try to keep the friction/manipulation of the fibers to a minimum. When working with rayon or other synthetic fibers, I recommend avoiding chemicals (even water) other than capture spray or white vinegar. A carpet expert recommended a similar cleaning method using a fine mist of white vinegar mixed with cornstarch. I haven't tried it, but I suspect it will work similar to the Capture system.
