It is simply attached with two drywall screws. You simply park the car, open the door, and then determine where your door meets the wall. It boots up in just 30 seconds and protects both your garage and your car from damage. Pros: 1) Great build 2) Very solid value, especially considering the damage it prevents! 3) Extremely easy installation (30 seconds or less) Cons: Not that far!
