Good Inexpensive Cutlery Set

I needed an inexpensive cutlery set for a small apartment after giving up my much larger home. This sentence is good. This is a pattern that suits both classic cymbals and modern styles. They are not as heavy as the more expensive kits, but not very light either. Haven't worn them long enough to comment on long-term use and the effects of the dishwasher, but from the looks of it I hope they last. The only thing I don't like is the large engraving with the brand name. They are on the bottom of spoons and forks so that they are not visible when the table is beautifully set. But knives have it engraved on the blades and as I set the table with the knives to the right of the plates (the forks to the left) and the serrated side facing the plates, the brand name really shows. I think it looks a bit cheap. However, I grew up in Europe with beautiful and elegant tableware, so my standards are high. I almost returned the set for this reason. I wish the engraving wasn't so conspicuous. I decided to keep it to myself because the price is affordable and I don't throw fancy dinner parties at my age. I sold a silver service I brought from Europe because I don't like polishing silver and got a good price for it. My friends just have to accept me as I am today. I've shrunk and take life easy these days. Friends come for fellowship, not silverware. They serve well enough but I wouldn't buy them as gifts for others because of the very prominent brand names engraved.
