I'm glad I was able to remove the jewelry from the ring-shaped part of the piercing. It's very nice, but the caliber is slightly larger than the 14g you usually use to pierce your stomach. I was 20 weeks pregnant when I bought this ring, hoping I wouldn't have to take the rings off as my belly got bigger, but I was more comfortable with my full length metal bars than the bioplastic ones. I've had a piercing since I was 16 and change it often. It was therefore surprising that these were painful and uncomfortable to insert. Since they are "plastic" it might help to put the stem (without decoration) in boiling water for a few seconds, then very cold water might help to reduce it. a bit like people tighten plastic collars, but I don't know if it will work the same way.
