I put off buying because I couldn't get the first one I tried snapping less than 2cm. For fun I took another board and replaced the header with a 24ga. durable connecting wire. I had pieces of junk about 2" long so I plugged them in and the board worked. It worked for about 1 min. I started to wonder if I was missing something in the description of the board. There was nothing in the description to suggest this that there was a minimum length for connecting wires, so I followed the link to github and found that the author recommends using at least 18" wire to connect the board. I took the original board, which was said not to work, and connected it them with long wires to the proto board. That worked! I would recommend that the seller who wants to get better ratings understands a little more clearly how to connect these boards. I wasn't happy with the packaging of the boards - everything was loose in an anti-static bag Now that I know what is required to use these boards, I will do some experiments to verify the actual mindes to determine the length required to connect these devices.
