Review on 🔧 Efficient ChipQuik SMD1 Leaded Low Temperature Removal Kit for Precision Electronics by Ted Slaughter

Used to desolder some large electrolytic caps from discarded PCBs. At $10 per capacitor and 20 total capacitors, it was definitely worth it (still a bloody expensive deal). I don't think the large through hole is for this product but it worked pretty well. It was definitely impossible to desolder these caps with regular solder, especially since the board was made with lead-free solder. I haven't had much luck trying to desolder parts with through holes, more than two pins, or pins that are widely spaced. I think the best solution would be to buy a premium demolition pistol.
