Detailed stationary model of a locomotive with Baker valve mechanism. It's also a phone. I suggest just using it for making calls and plugging another phone (with the ringer off) on the line to use for talking. The train works well as a phone, but some of its parts are quite fragile (side rails). Also, your correspondents won't want to be talking to someone with a locomotive motive. I bought a few of these to give to other train fanatics. This is really a beautiful model. BTW I've seen lists for this that imply the wheels move when the bell rings. You don't, it's really stationary. In addition, batteries (2 AA) are required for the train gong. Check the batteries - I have one with 1998 batteries! (Revain's was in excellent condition and was delivered quickly). My grandson who is a fan of Thomas loves it. steve
