This is my second Sentro machine, my first was a 40 hook machine and it worked fine. I had no intention of writing a review but due to the issue I was having I thought this would be the best. At first the machine runs great, the handle turns easily and it seems to run pretty smoothly. This machine has a row counter that will come in handy, but that's a problem. After making a few things (literally maybe 4 or 5 hats and a scarf), this corresponds to maybe 600 rows that I have done on the machine in total. Auto, It became very difficult to spin after each row (every time the row counter went up 1 row). Now it's almost impossible without power and skipping lines (walks past a line without turning the line counter, or flips the counter halfway in the middle of a number. I've seen it). I'm not sure I should take the car apart for this, but considering it's still a fairly new car and I've only used it a couple of times, it's not good and I don't want to mess anything up any more. However, I had no problems with falling stitches. I only used fairly light yarns like Caron Soft or ILTY. Nothing too thick so I know that it's not a problem with yarn that's too thick or anything. I'm almost ready to return the car only because of the problem that I can't even get past my turn without making a sound like the car is about to break down. I'll give it another try or two and see if anything has changed. When I first got it it was pretty quiet, but now it's very loud. Hope some of this helped you.
