Review on 🎨 Prismacolor 1774800 Premier Colored Pencils, Manga Colors Review and Buying Guide - 23-Count by Matheus Buck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Broken pencils and broken leads.

I bought these to try different Prismacolor pens inside, both Verithin and Soft Core/Premiers. Basically I was trying to decide if it would be colored pencils that I would invest in in the future. And for that matter it's a good pack of pens because I was able to try them out before investing in a larger/more expensive Prismacolor set. However, I have noticed quality issues with both types of pens. Verithin pencils came with a cracked barrel (2 out of 5) making them difficult to use and sharpen. Soft lead pencils color well (smooth and bright), but break constantly when coloring and sharpening. It's a shame because I can say they've invested in pigment and the feel of the leads; They just seem to lack the quality control I've come to expect from a high end art brand. I will continue to use them as I paid slightly more than the current price for them. However, at the current price, which is half what I paid, they might be worth a try so you can personally weigh the good and bad before investing in a larger set.
