The teapot is too small for a decent cup of tea. One mitten serves as a weight while the other actually holds the tee. I'd say a teaspoon fits in a cup holder, but then the water has nowhere to flow through the leaves. So you are actually looking at half a teaspoon, which makes a cup of tea unsatisfactory. Also, the hole you pour the tea into is so small that the tea will spill everywhere. I love the Fred line of products. I think the design is really chic and I've given away a lot of her stuff.
