We have a lot of battery operated flashlights, these batteries work well with some LED strings, almost as long as a standard battery. However, with some strings they only last two days and run for around 8-10 hours in total. Some of the batteries will also discharge without being inserted into anything. I'm not sure why some work well and others don't. Coming to the batteries we followed the instructions and about half the batteries are fine and the other half are not. I have no experience using them in devices other than LED strings.
