I've been using this docking station for a few days and I'm very happy with it. The transparent case looks great and the internal LED indicators are not only functional but also look cool. I recovered about 10 disks with it and it still works. SATA drives are hot-swappable. Haven't tried hot swapping an IDE drive. Copying files seems pretty fast. I can't test USB3 speed as all drives so far have been old spinners. Discs are also recognized very quickly on older computers (10 years and older). What I love about this dock is that the drives only show up on your computer when something is actually plugged in. My old dock reserved a drive letter for all media slots even when nothing was plugged in, which was quite annoying. As you would expect, multiple partitions on the same physical disk appear as multiple disks. Haven't tried booting from attached media yet. I have not attempted to copy between devices attached to the device (e.g. from an attached hard drive to an inserted USB stick). In fact, I didn't try to use the USB ports for storage at all. However, the USB ports work well when a keyboard and mouse are connected to them. I haven't tried other media ports yet. So far very happy with this purchase. I hope it works for a long time.
