I have been very happy with a pair of HP LP2065 monitors for my work computer for over 6 years, so I was very happy to find a HP 27 inch LED monitor at such a great price! I already knew from several reviewers that the screen is very glossy and there is color shifting, but a professional photo/image creator/editor should never rely on such a cheap product for their work. I thought this would be perfect for my needs. When the monitor arrived I was disappointed to find that it didn't have a 100mm VESA rear mount. The online user manual states that this monitor supports wall and swivel mount with an HP adapter. HOWEVER, this adapter does not exist anywhere except in the manual. This issue has been addressed in customer photos (thanks ***Zakk***Attack), in several reviews, and now even on the HP support site. Again I was a bit disappointed but didn't stop considering the video quality, size, weight and PRICE. Another disappointment was the inability to adjust the height of the stand, but given the monitor's light weight, I'm happy with that. Just install it on the box. I also wanted to tilt it down a bit and found the mount offered minimal range of motion. So now it's a box and a small tin of mints to set my favorite viewing angle. (I'm still thinking about screen size, picture quality, weight and PRICE! I'm still happy.) 6 months after purchase, it suddenly stopped working. I found this very strange as the OSD seemed to work but no signal was detected on my HDMI port. I tried a DVI cable and still no signal. I made sure the DVI cable and computer are okay by testing one of these 6 year old working LP2065s. On a whim I tried connecting a DVI -> RGB cable and now the monitor comes back on. I wouldn't want to make long phone calls to try to file a warranty claim but if this is already happening within 6 months of purchase then I don't know what else could go wrong by the end of the year. Also, why would you give up the benefits of an HDMI and/or DVI connection over VGA? Other reviewers have noted additional quality issues with discoloration and large dark spots. So I'll be looking for a replacement under warranty AND I'm lowering my expectations for the exceptional quality, durability and flexibility of older HP monitors. Bottom line: as long as it works and you can block out ambient light sources and you don't mind using books to adjust your monitor's height and position and you're not an imaging/video pro, THEN this could be a good buy.
