1. DO NOT use the suggested PlusMinus app. It just doesn't work (and if it does, don't bother). The interface is a mess that "English as a second language" - the nature of its existence - cannot overcome. Use the Smart Life app. Just download the said app then turn on and off the light you want to connect x5. It starts flashing quickly. Then select "Add device" in the Smart Life app. He should quickly spot the lightbulb. This allows you to rename it and automatically sync it with Alexa (which will send you a notification to that effect). Another small issue is that I had to manually enter the WiFi name and password for each bulb. DO NOT attempt to use them in a dimmable outlet. They just don't work. They keep separating and work at any color or brightness setting. This was especially hard to swallow since I bought these four bulbs for the hallway and they are all dimmable. But I saved them to use elsewhere in the house.3. If you have experience with LIFX lamps and their native application, I would lower your expectations a bit from these LUMIMANs. They're a lot darker (as the specs say) but especially so when colors are used instead of white. However, four bulbs for the price of one LIFX is a great deal for many places like hallways and bedside lamps. *** Two star deduction: 1. No dimmer incompatibility warning with switch. 2. Non-working native application interface. 3. Connecting multiple bulbs to Wi-Fi takes no more than an hour. 4. When you download the native app, you automatically subscribe to spam mailing lists***
