I was able to replace a broken tailgate handle on my 2010 Colorado with this one and am happy with the result. However, if you are considering a purchase, try to find the best match. This one has a hole on the side, I don't. I expected there would be a plug in the kit but it wasn't. I screwed in a round screw to plug the hole. Also, the clips that came with the product kept bouncing, so after a few tries I removed the clips from the original handle and replaced them, problem solved. It was worth deducting the star rating. Also lubricate the end latches and everything will work smoothly.
