Review on Open SFP Slot AutoSensing Supporting by Andrew Kamkoff

SFP to use SFP test modules for a development project. The converter worked perfectly. The attached photos show the converter with the included power supply, as well as two photos of some of the simple tests I ran. This test used a 1GB wired module in an SFP slot connected to a WD MyCloud drive (blue cable). WD supports 10/100/1000MB connections. For the media converter wired connection, the white wire connects to a 10/100Base-T/X hub on my LAN and the black wire connects to the 1G port on my router. The photos show that the indicators light up correctly depending on the connection speed. The router diagnostics showed the correct connection speed in every case, and speed tests showed good results even at the nominal connection speed. The AN-UM-SMC-AS-J AD-Net Media Converter made SFP testing very easy. I will be buying another of these converters soon to test fiber optic SFPs.
