I have at least a dozen of these graters. We are big consumers of Parmesan - a real bargain from Italy. For $10 it's very good. The length is nice and long, it's very sharp and does a great job with parmesan cheese quickly and efficiently. The rubber piece on the bottom is necessary to prevent slipping. Comes with a protective screen to protect it while it's in your drawer. Hand wash, dry immediately, store with your sign and it will last for years. If you don't want it to last long, you can always wash it in the dishwasher and dull it. Then you need much more time to grate the parm. I like it!
