I have owned one of these handy scopes for a few years. I pulled it out recently and looked at the back of a $100 bill. With this scope I was able to find the error on the $100 bill. On the $100 bill, the clock in Independence Hall has an "IV" at 4 o'clock. To be correct it must be "IIII" as on the clock at Independence Hall in Philadelphia and most other clocks with Roman numerals. With this small microscope you can also see the microprints on the currency. It's amazing all the security features in our US currency. I just ordered another one for my granddaughter.
