I've always wondered why my Shopsmith Mark V is so difficult to move. Upon removing the hard plastic OEM casters, I found that the metal axles had smashed the centers of the wheels. To be honest, I've had the car for over 30 years. It has always been very difficult to move it in my shop. These new casters roll so smoothly over the rough concrete floor that I can actually move the car with one finger. Now I have to be careful not to push the car too far or too fast. Gone was the awful sound of the metal base scraping the floor. Even if they only last a few years, they are cheap and easy to replace. Highly recommended for this purpose.
