Below is my original review. Apparently the PlayStation partitions the entire drive into partitions and when you plug any PS3 drive into the PC it doesn't show up because it's fully partitioned and technically there is NO drive read by your Windows or Mac formats can. Quick and easy solution! Go to "Control Panel" and open "Administrative Tools". From here, open the Computer Management shortcut and once it opens look for Disk Management under Storage on the left. Click "Disk Management” and you will see your main hard drive, which is usually "Disk 0”, your PS3 or other undetected hard drive will be one of the others "Disk 1, Disk 2, Disk 3”. From here, find out which drive is the disk you want to open. Once you've found what drive it is [on the right], click the SMALL DISK RIGHT NEXT icon next to the drive name (Drive 1, Drive 2, or Drive 3) and select Initialize. Once you've done that, right-click on the partition to resize or remove it entirely, and then you can use the disk as you see fit. I hope this review helps some people!
