Review on Efficient and Portable Wolverine PASS200 Handheld Scanner for Easy Document, Book, and Photo Scanning by Trey Dikici

Good for basic scanning / not so good for book cutting.

There are many ways to scan content. I use Fujitsu's ScanSnap scanner most often, followed by an Android app called Cam Scanner, and then this scanner. The scan image works on anything that lies flat or has been flat at some point in its life. But despite its small size, it is not portable enough as it needs an adapter etc. The Cam Scanner app uses the phone's camera and works well, but not great. This scanner offers good scan quality, especially for flat objects. I use it most often to capture articles or excerpts from books or magazines to organize or refer to later. The scanner is never lost! Its light green color guarantees it! Picture quality is good on all settings, and the SD card storage means it's self-contained, easy to pull out and use with no fuss. It consumes batteries, but the trade-off for simplicity and portability is worth it. Some books are difficult to scan as the rolls often fall off the page resulting in poor scanning, but this is not usually a problem for magazines or magazines. Overall a good price if expectations are not too high.
