Fits a 2.8L Jeep Liberty CRD and provides an additional 11 ounces of oil capacity.
For 2.8L Jeep Liberty CRD. The larger housing (and element) provides an additional 11 ounces of oil capacity over the standard filter. This increases the CRD oil capacity to 6.75 liters. I cut open the 51515XP and found that it contains a 41 pleat synthetic element (the standard size 51516XP has 33 pleats), a coil spring to keep the element snug to the base, and a safe reversing device to prevent water leakage impede. I have been using WIX oil filters for many years and have always been satisfied with their quality. At this point they are still made in the USA.
