I listened to my playlist for several hours (from a microSD card, stored in MP3 files at 320 kbps). The songs are very familiar to me, having heard them on various mid-fi and hi-fi systems, as well as headphones and earphones. The sound quality of this speaker is actually pretty good, and the treble and bass sounds pretty good. . The mids are muted, which is not good for rock or pop music. The only problem is that after 25 minutes I got tired of hearing it and it wasn't because of the specific songs that were being played. This is referred to in audio circles as "tiring" sound, meaning that whatever the DSP is doing to the sound to make this speaker good is doing *something* to it that makes it uncomfortable to listen to for extended periods of time from time. These are usually breaks and breaks in the frequency patterns of the sound being played, forcing your brain to work hard to try to integrate those frequencies with the rest of the sound.
