A few years ago I replaced a fail prone PCV diaphragm and cover in my 2010 Tiguan 2.0T with a part from a local auto parts store but unfortunately , another tear appeared. Pro Tip: If you put your finger on a small PCV vent and the engine stalls, you have a ruptured PCV diaphragm. This time I decided to replace the entire PCV assembly. This kit was very economical considering it comes with the entire assembly and two hoses. I installed it and after the first test drive everything is fine, but I'm worried about the quality. I opened the cover and the main PVC membrane looks fine, but the small orange membrane on the underside is very thin/brittle and pulls right out of the assembly, whereas on the original VW part it was so strong that She broke when I tried to pull it out. I'm worried that little orange diaphragm will fall out while driving, but we'll have to wait and see. Otherwise the remaining parts made a good impression. I just need my engine to run well enough for a few hundred miles to clear the permanent ECU code and let me smoke the car, then I can elect to replace it with a genuine VW part for peace of mind .
