This unit was easy to install but FREE due to issues. Replacement filters are as expensive as the device itself. It's not necessarily going to kill the deal. However, despite purchasing several special filter keys and an expensive replacement filter, it was not possible to completely remove the top of the unit. Tried hot water and vinegar, everything. Not good. I called the company, a guy called back, whimsical and even in his voice, listing the same things he had already tried. He then said someone would call us back regarding this. It's been two months and no one has called. So if you buy this, be prepared to make a mortgage payment if you want to throw money away trying to open the damn thing.
