Compact size and reliable brand
I like Toshiba Canvio external drives and find them very reliable. I am using it in combination with another 2TB external drive as I had an old 1TB external drive (Western Digital) that failed a few months ago. This was my only offsite backup and I used it with a previous computer that died so it had files that didn't get copied back to my new computer. Unfortunately, these files were lost when the drive died. Lesson learned, I now use 2 backups! The small, compact size makes it easy to transport and I also have a hard case.
