As a speaker enthusiast, I have had many different brands of speakers. Harmon Kardon (owner of JBL) has always been my favorite brand. I wanted to buy a speaker that I could take with me when I travel and not worry about the battery draining on long weekends. The price of the speaker is significantly higher for its category. You pay for quality, it looks good and sounds good. The addition of a tweeter and a sleek new design is a completely different beast than previous generations. If you're looking for something that's lightweight and portable without sacrificing sound quality, then the Charge 5 is the right choice.
