Review on 📔 Hahnemuhle Grey Book Sketch Book A5: Premium 120gsm, 40 Sheets/80 Pages for Artists and Sketching by Linda Diaz

Last year I went into traditional media and an artist friend shared pictures of these beautiful sketchbooks on her Instagram. I've never used tinted paper, apart from a few experiments with very, very cheap cardboard that I picked up at the hobby store. I decided to buy the smaller of the two sketchbooks to try first. This paper is visually incredible. I use Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils and love the combination with the Hahnemule paper. The colors lay out flat and I can layer many times without tearing or overworking the paper. (Not the case with the cheap art store cardboard that ripped every time I tried to polish something.) Gray paper makes colors so vibrant that white paper can't. The book itself is very well done. I really like that they are flat and small. One could argue that these books have less paper for the price, so I've tried to keep them for more polished, finished work rather than sketches. I've included some photos of the finished work I've created, the work I'm currently working on, and how samples of all my polychrome colored pencils look from the back. I buy one every month or so just because I'm afraid I'll never find them again, they are so amazing to me.
